Setting Your Secure Message Format

Although supports Microsoft Word as an email editor, several key features of the interface are not available when this option is enabled.

Tip: For an optimal user experience, we recommend that you do not use Microsoft Word as your default editor when composing a secure email message.

To view/edit your secure message format settings:

  1. On the Outlook main menu, click tab.
  2. Click Tools and Settings. A new window opens.
  3. Select Change the secure message format.
  4. Select the required format from below:
    1. Use the default message format (recommended) - By default, this option is selected. It is strongly recommend to use this option.
    2. Use the Microsoft format - If required, select this option. If you select this option, some features including the 'Verify' button when you read a secure message will not be available.
    3. Note: If Microsoft Word is not installed on your computer, this option will not be available.

  5. Click Save Changes.
